Harrow League Week 11- 15-12-2013

Result: BPR Tigers -TFA Totteridge Lions = 0-2

A really exciting gripping game, great passings and movements from both teams;
TFA Totteridge is an excellent team with some great individuals, top shooters,they maximise their chances, in fact they have scored more Goals than anyone else in the league;

From our part ,we created many  chances, but our problem remain the same, we are not good enough at converting them, to be fair we did hit the  cross bar+post, but still their are missed chances;

Positive note, we played all the time throughout Phase 1 passing football from the GK onwards,
credit to these boys, well done!

Now, we wish Lucas that left the squad in September for his Tennis carreer , and  Sammy for his new adventure with Brentford FC, good luck and farewell , all the best boys, we will miss you!

A good effort from the Tigers versus a solid team;
Sunny day but heavy pitch, hard to play fluent passing football.

Harrow League Week 9- 01-12-2013

Another interesting and vibrant "derby" match with Ruislip Rangers A, a very good performance by our kids against a talented team, not the best pitch to play on.

On a heavy pitch a good performance  by the boys against a good battling Parkfield side;
Still too many chances not taken;

On a windy day  a good effort by the kids against a good Wealdstone  team( great coaches /parents and kids by the way).

On a rainy day, another great match of football between 2 very good side!

We created a lot of chances but did not take them, we should improve on that , the weather did not help, pitch in very good condition;

We went 0-2 down half time, Ickenham the better side, than we turn it around playing a lot better the second half,I think a draw would have been a fairer result;

Heathrow Tournament -14-07-2013

Normally all the tournament have hiccups, but this one had more than usual;
WE we were invited just 2 weeks before, so it was difficult to put a team together..
 There were only few teams playing in U7 , and incredibly enough it was a mess, about who was playing, when and where and against whom... the 2 pitches were on a "slope"with a strong inclination, so each game should have been split in 2 halves to make it fair for everyone playing downhill, I did mention this to the  top ref but at no avail;
The good thing was a sunny beautiful day, and a good venue to host a tournament, the kids had fun!

6 Tigers were available on the day, thank you very much to John to lend us Daniel from the Jaguars, the boy did his best, and fought hard, well done!!

We took 3 teams today to St Josephs,Tigers,Jaguar and a mixed group,it was a 6 aside,not ideal,
nonetheless the boys all enjoy it and did very well;

Nice venue, good pitches;
It should improve next year by making sure groups with all A teams play against each other, and so B and C;
Love the Goalie rule, encouraging  teams to pass the ball;

We took 2 teams Lions/Tigers, they did very well , well done to all involved;

Great venue to play;
Complete mess about the groups, need to improve next year!!

We had 6 players only  today 5 Tigers+1 Lion  , but we still took there 4 teams!!
And they were great!
Jaguars(C) in a group with all A teams,lost only 1 game 2-1
Lions(B)unbeaten in their group
Leopards(D) same group as Jaguars,first time ever,lost 3 drew 2!!

A good game today, we took our time to get the passing going but once we did we scored 3 great goals, hit the post, and created a lot of chances;

We only had 7 players today so no subs which meant playing players out of position, nonetheless some encouraging confidence with the ball at the back.

Report: A good win today against the team that tried as hard as they could to break us down but nevertheless there was some good play and good passing the last 10 min we put together a string of passes which resulting in two very good goals.

Report 1:
A very tight battle against one of the best side I have seen so far, they are all confident with the ball and fight for each other, tough team to beat, plus they have got the best Goalie around, very smart kid!
From our part, not one of our best game, nonetheless we created a lot of chances, we can do better.

QPR Academy

We took 11 kids to QPR Youth Development Center on Thursday, a great experience for our players, they did very well indeed;)
